Our Mission
The Permanent Mission serves as the primary channel for diplomatic representation and communication between Eritrea and the organizations to which we are accredited. Our dedicated personnel engage with a wide spectrum of critical issues, including human rights, health, humanitarian aid, refugee and employment policies, trade relations, environmental sustainability, and economic development. We are committed to ensuring that Eritrea’s voice is heard and that our perspectives, positions, and proposals are considered on the global stage.
Advancing Eritrea’s Interests
Our mission is to actively advance Eritrea’s interests and policies in the realm of multilateral diplomacy. By collaborating closely with our colleagues in Asmara across various ministries and governmental institutions, we represent Eritrea’s unique viewpoints and priorities. We work diligently with other countries and international partners to ensure that Eritrea's interests and aspirations are adequately reflected in global discussions and initiatives.
Goals and Objectives
The Embassy, located within the Permanent Mission in Geneva, also serves as Eritrea’s diplomatic representation in Switzerland. Our dual role allows us to foster and maintain exceptional relations at all levels, pursuing avenues for trade and investment, technical and developmental cooperation, tourism, and strategic partnerships with our Swiss counterparts.
In addition to our diplomatic engagements, we are dedicated to promoting cultural cooperation and facilitating people-to-people interactions between Eritrea and Switzerland. Our consular services play a vital role in the movement of individuals between our two nations, ensuring the welfare of Eritrean residents in Switzerland. We strive to be a resource for our citizens and enhance that tie through educational programs and community outreach.
Together, we are committed to building a future that reflects Eritrea’s values and aspirations while contributing positively to the global community.
